FAQs

How long is the bat mitzvah service?

The bat mitzvah service will start at 10:30 a.m. and will last about one and a half hours.

Can I drop my teen off at the service? At the party?

Yes. Teens can be dropped off at both the service and the party.

What should I wear to the service?

While there is not a specific dress code at our synagogue, modest attire is the norm for services. Specifically, shoulders should be covered. If you choose to wear something without sleeves, please wear a cardigan or shawl.

When should I pick up my teen from the service?

You can pick up your teen immediately after the service (around 12:00) or they can stay for a lite kiddush lunch (bagels, etc.) and be picked up around 1:00.

What time is the party?

6:30 – 10:30 p.m.

My teen has a commitment on Saturday morning, can they still attend the party if they don’t attend the service?

Absolutely. We understand that schedules can be challenging. We’d love for you to come to all of the bat mitzvah events. However, it is totally fine if you can only attend the party or the service.

What should I wear to the party?

Violet’s party will be “dressy.” Party or cocktail dresses, suits, khaki pants and sports jackets, etc. Whatever your definition of “dressy,” be ready to have fun!
